Application Developer – Technical Lead

Application Developer – Technical Lead position with Capital One Services, LLC in Plano, TX 75024; Multiple positions available:

- Perform technical design, development, modification, and implementation of computer applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
- Manage, coordinate, and lead project teams of up to 4 IT professionals along multiple workstreams.
- Lead and coordinate the development, writing, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, EJB, Oracle, SQL, Web Services, WebLogic, and Unix/Linux adhering to corporate requirements and standards.
- Ensure proper application testing and validation, programming, and documentation.
- Document design decisions, adhering to existing process guidelines, develop software components, and mentor junior developers.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor implementation process.
- Present complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s or higher degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate application development experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate application development experience will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 2 years of application development experience. Must have the following skills through formal education or work experience: Java; J2EE; JSP; EJB; Oracle; SQL; Web Services; WebLogic; and Unix/Linux.

Must pass company’s analytical assessment.
