Summary

- Understanding of FNMA /FHLMC Relief Refinance guidelines and the implications to DU
- Ability to read and understand MI guidelines; including overlays
- Advanced level of risk assessment skills and ability to mitigate risk due to higher loan amount requests

Summary

Responsibilities
- Determine qualifying income for the most complex applicants including Self Employed (All Tax Returns)
- Review complex income documentation such as personal and business tax returns
- Review complex asset statements
- Review the most complex appraisals including multi-family
- Ability to underwrite FHA/VA loan requests
- Highest level of risk assessment
- Ability to restructure loans recommended for denial and present counter-offer which fully complies with guidelines at an acceptable level of risk
- Ability to disposition loan files outside of standard underwriting guidelines
- Review Co-Op, CEMA and Bond Loans

- Analytical ability to consider consequences of Loan credit guidelines

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification or military experience

- 4 years of experience in automated underwriting systems to include FNMAs Desktop Underwriter and FHLMCs Loan Prospector

- 4 years underwriting/knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA programs and underwriting guidelines, as well as those of other conventional investors, state/local bond programs and private mortgage insurers

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in business or related field

- 5 years Mortgage Underwriting experience

Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary
Be a critical leader in managing a Bankruptcy Servicing Team for Home Loans Default Operations. Summary:
Develop and implement compliance related risk management program including transaction testing in the Financial Services Business Risk Office. This recently created position will help the Financial Services’ Lines of Business (Capital One Auto Finance and Capital One Home Loans) review and confirm that current controls are functioning effectively. Develop and provide periodic reporting of results to drive awareness and action where results do not meet targeted thresholds. Coach and direct associates in the execution and calibration of testing results.

Responsibilities:
- Assists in the enhancement of Risk Management programs
- Provide leadership to the Management of cross FS/LOB Compliance initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key points on contact in the business, related risk offices, Corporate Compliance and Enterprise Risk functions
- Analyze and communicate transaction testing results
- Assist on assigned projects which are outside of FS transaction testing
- Provide coaching and guidance to other team members

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
- At least 4 years of experience in risk management, compliance or legal
- At least 2 years of experience in client interaction – communicating and influencing at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree or Military experience
- Professional certification such as a CIA, CPA, CRCM, CISA or other recognized certification
