<item><title>Application Developer, Sr. (AI) Job (Plano, TX, US)</title><description><![CDATA[Application Developer, Sr. (AI)-737242<br/><br/><b>Description</b><br/>The Capital One Auto Finance Service Management Organization helps to ensure that the suite of applications and services necessary to support the business are designed, transitioned and delivered in a way that meets and exceeds the expectations of our stakeholders. This team is accountable for the core ITIL processes managed by the Enterprise that are necessary to deliver and operate the services offered to the Auto Finance division. This team is broken into two functional areas with the management team focused on service design and governance and the operations team ensuring that the services are delivered effectively and efficiently.<br/><br/>Description:<br/>The Service Management Organization is looking for a principal associate to join the Service Operations Team. This associate would be responsible for the Loan Originations (LO) suite of applications. This position will be responsible for driving critical fixes and improvements through our delivery channel to ensure our services are functioning properly. This position will participate in impact analysis and detail design of LO application systems from an operational perspective. They will work with application developers to implement critical production fixes in a Java environment. The associate will attend design and code review meetings to ensure a well managed environment is maintained. The role will occasionally require troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations. This position will also manage and direct work to production level support teams.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/>Work closely with Production Support teams to ensure incidents, events and problems within the LO suite of applications are well managed.<br/><br/>Evaluate all changes affecting the LO suite of applications to ensure they follow all standards and are implemented without impacts to production.<br/>Provide complete insight in Infrastructure and Architectural details on applications systems<br/><br/>Conduct in-depth analysis on production fixes and propose solutions.<br/><br/>Communicate directly with business customers to understand and help resolve the user-level issues experienced in system applications.<br/><br/>Interfaces with Solution architects and application developers to understand the design level details for all break-fix projects<br/>Participates in pre and post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to ensure a stable production environment<br/><br/><b>Qualifications</b><br/>Basic Qualifications:<br/><br/>Bachelor&#8217;s degree and/or military experience<br/><br/>4 years of experience in Application Development using Java/J2ee<br/><br/>3 years of experience developing web applications using JSPs, JSTL and Web 2.0 technologies.<br/><br/>2 years of experience with Savvion BPM, Blaze Rules Engine, Java, VB6, .Net<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications:<br/>Microsoft/Sun Certification, Java, NET, SQL, ORACLE, UNIX<br/><br/>Understanding of Java/J2EE design patterns.<br/><br/>Familiarity with Spring framework and Eclipse based development environments.<br/><br/>Familiarity with Weblogic Portal server and Virtual Content Repository concepts.<br/><br/>Previous experience with Loan Originations applications<br/><br/>ITIL v3 Foundations certified<br/><br/>No agencies please.
