The ACH File Processing team is responsible for receiving, validating, monitoring and documenting the processing of incoming and outgoing electronic data files using the PEP+ ACH processing system and mainframe programs. - Follow up on suspension approvals as needed.

- Work closely with support and shift leader to ensure error-free processing.

- Troubleshoot system and file issues with multiple technology partners, both internally and externally.

A role in Payment Operations is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the operational efficiency and effectiveness of bank operations. This is an exciting opening for a Manger in our Payment Operations Review, Control, and Support team to leads a team of associates responsible for supporting pre-fulfillment activities associated with all Payment Operations functions.

Initial focus will be on the development and implementation of Wire Operations pre-fulfillment and authentication processes with the opportunity to support additional Payment Operations functions. In this role, candidates will partner with operational and support associates to build the strategy, structure, and implementation team for several new fraud prevention and regulatory functions supporting international and domestic wire operations.

Responsibilities:
- Build and implement new high performing teams to meet new regulatory and fraud prevention requirements

- Manage day-to-day activities of a high visibility multi-function, multi-team operation. (Metrics, coaching and developing associates, quality assurance, system issues, etc)

- Defines and measures metrics, provides performance and career guidance, and manages to a budget.
- Process and Project Management - Accountability to ensuring processes are documented, projects are prioritized, and business objectives are met.
- Communications - Collaborate with others & participate as part of the operational leadership team (leadership meetings, etc)
- Administrative duties - document performance of directs (appraisals), etc.
- Manage up to 12 people

Given the rapidly expanding scale and scope of Payment Operations, this position offers a great opportunity to help shape strategies and to be a key contributor to improving the customer experience across the Bank. Success in this position will rely heavily on working with cross-functional teams and the ability to identify and execute strategies to build and improve operational processes.

Qualifications

What is the Finance Rotation Program?

Job Responsibilities:
-Receive and process items in accordance and compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures, as well as any applicable federal and state regulations; in particular RegCC and RegO,

-Understand bank risks and exposure inherent to performing assigned duties, and take the appropriate actions to escalate issues that may cause increased exposure to the bank’s risks.

-Receive and review all documents handled by the department in accordance with the policies and procedures of Capital One including, but not limited to returned items, General Ledger tickets and email requests,

-Additional responsibilities include back-up for all positions in the Exceptions and Return Items area, handling overflow on a daily basis, as well as assist when personnel are out of department; prepares monthly stats for Supervisor; and other job related/special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

-High School Diploma (some college preferred)

-Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word

Preferred Skills:

-Basic back office knowledge

-2-3 years bookkeeping/bank operations area of Bank and/or experience/knowledge of accounting practices and data entry.
