Responsibilities:
- Develop and follow up on cold and warm sales leads for Mortgage products to consumers who are buying or refinancing homes. This process is via Internet and telephone sales
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with borrowers and mortgage staff
- Collaborate with the operations staff (particularly Processors, Underwriters, and Closers) to ensure that the loan applications are fully completed, that the necessary supporting documentation is received, and that the loans close as scheduled
- Understand and comply with mortgage industry regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, Truth-in-Lending laws, etc
- Apply underwriting standards of our various investors (Chevy Chase Bank, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, etc.) to each transaction to ensure that borrowers are put into a loan program for which they qualify. This includes analyzing people’s credit histories to ensure that they are eligible for our products (and how to counsel them if they are not

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

- 2 years experience originating FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA programs and underwriting guidelines, as well as those of other conventional investors, state/local bond programs and private mortgage insurers
- 1 year sales experience
- proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proven analytical and mathematical abilities
- Ability to pursue and follow up on cold and warm leads
- Excellent interpersonal skills including both oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with other production support staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in explaining all steps and processes in detail of the mortgage loan process
- Basic guideline knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/FHA/VA

Summary
The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Rep is to respond to verbal account inquires over the phone. The Customer Service Rep will answer questions related to all aspects of mortgage servicing. Other responsibilities include making welcome calls to our new customers, providing explanations to customers about adjustable rate mortgage products, such as the reason for their rate increase, escrow account information, and to respond to verbal account inquires. The Customer Service Rep must demonstrate patience, empathy, quality, listening skills, excellent communication skills, high degree of professionalism, computer skills which include data entry input accuracy, the ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment, professional telephone manner, and the use of proper grammar.

Responsibilities
- Answer approximately 75 incoming customer calls received thru ACD system daily.
- Provide customers with information requested through verbal or written correspondence and maintain accurate records (i.e. balance statements, documents copies, and account history).
- Direct calls or correspondence to proper departments in event information is not available or requires research
- Take mortgage payments over the phone, respond to inquiries regarding hazard and flood insurance issues and disbursements, respond to inquiries regarding tax issues and disbursements.
- Review and explain escrow disclosure statements (i.e. account shortages and overages).
- Discuss and respond to inquiries regarding loan types and terms (i.e. VA, FHA, Conventional, ARM).
- Maintain and process request for addition/changes/deletion of customer names from account record by ensuring that proper documentation is received and investor guidelines are met
- Respond to the needs of customers who are not satisfied with assistance provided by Customer Service Representative.
- Assist overflow with difficult calls.
- Other duties as assigned.

Summary:
The Relationship Banker is responsible for direct selling of our consumer and small business products/services to existing and new customers using the GAIN Model. Develops and deepens relationships by servicing and selling consumer and small business products to new and existing customers. - Meets with prospects and customers through outbound calling efforts, Teller referrals and branch referrals to specialist areas such as Investments, Private Client Group, Small Business, etc to discuss and sell banking products.
- Uses needs-based assessment tools to analyze and determine customer needs. Recommends and sells appropriate solutions (consumer and business) both in person and on the telephone.
- Uses the GAIN Model to uncover customer needs using open-ended questions
- Maintains a working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
- Researches and answers customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, rates and services.
- Coordinates and leads any training and sales meetings as requested.
- During down-time, deepen customer relationships as directed(e.g. working the lobby/teller line or outbound calling)
- Service Small business customers as needed and sell to branch-managed businesses when no Branch Business Manager is available
- Refer larger Small Business and Commercial opportunities as identified during profiling to Branch Business Manager or Branch Manager
- Attend Bank @ Work appointments and fulfill on accounts opened there as appropriate • Champion a customer centric culture
- Maintain job proficiency and certification
- Assists in business development/calling efforts as requested. Attends business receptions and outside customer functions as requested.
