- Complete pre-work required for new Private Bank loan transactions including, but not limited to gathering financial information from borrowers, setting up an underwriting file, compiling existing loan and deposit account information and requesting various consumer and business credit reports
- Monitor assigned Private Banking loan portfolio and address and resolve issues to maintain quality of credits
- Actively maintain loan portfolio of consumer and/or commercial loans as assigned
- Monitor credit status and quality of loans on a regularly scheduled basis, including regularly communicating with the relationship manager regarding the financial health of the borrower
- Track covenants, compliance issues, and past due payments through the life of a loan, including working with the relationship manager or borrower to resolve any addressable issues to include borrowing base compliance
- Follow-up for financial statement reporting with borrower and relationship manager with ability to use financial spreading software to input this information.
- Perform annual, quarterly, or more frequent reviews (depending on the risk rating and type of loan) to assess the risks associated with the borrower and the credit
- On a continuous basis, work with the relationship manager, underwriter and borrower to address problems, delinquencies, or other changes in financial status
- Analyze and synthesize data to assess credit risk of portfolio loans
- Assess value and risk associated with any collateral used to back the loan
- Synthesize and communicate results of analysis to involved parties (e.g., relationship manager, credit officer, borrower)
- Present analysis regarding reviews and quarterly monitoring forms to relationship managers, credit officers, and other approval authorities, as needed
- Distribute results of analyses so as to ensure accurate coding of pertinent loan data on the Bank's core systems.
- Assist and coordinate with relationship manager, client and loan administration the documentation and closing process
- Perform quality review of closed loans and closing process and report any discrepancies identified and establish loan monitoring requirements of all closed commitments
- Participate and contribute to special projects and activities that may arise unexpectedly from time to time.

Summary
A great opportunity exists for an ambitious and passionate individual to join our team as an Associate Underwriter. It is the Associate Underwriter’s responsibility to ensure that conventional loans are processed and underwritten accurately and while remaining in compliance with company, regulatory and investor requirements. The Associate Underwriter is a partner to sales, processing and closing by helping to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Manual credit review skills, unassisted by DU
- Determine qualifying income for more complex applicants including Tax Returns (except 1040 Sched E, K-1 and Business Returns)
- Review more complex appraisals for Condo’s and Attached PUDs
- Understanding of FNMA /FHLMC Relief Refinance guidelines and the implications to DU
- Ability to read and understand MI guidelines; including overlays
- Advanced level of risk assessment skills and ability to mitigate risk due to higher loan amount requests

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification or mlitary experience

- 2 years of experience in automated underwriting systems to include FNMA’s Desktop Underwriter and/or FHLMC’s Loan Prospector

- 2 years of experience underwriting/knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA programs and underwriting guidelines, as well as those of other conventional investors, state/local bond programs and private mortgage insurers

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in business or related field

- 3 years Mortgage Underwriting experience

- 4 years of mortgage experience

- Analytical ability to consider consequences of Loan credit guidelines

Capital One is seeking a multi-faceted leader with excellent business acumen to build an efficient sales team that consistently delivers exceptional customer service to a particular market. As a Branch Manager, you will demonstrate a wide range of skills and serve as the face of Capital One in your branch’s local community. You will develop and implement retail banking strategies, as well as establish and execute strategic planning goals. The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, sales metrics, and ultimately driving the success of the branch.

Responsibilities:
- Champion a customer centric culture and own service level and operational excellence for the branch
- Implement the region’s human resource strategy, while cultivating a solid team through consistent coaching and guidance
- Oversee sales, service, credit controls, financial and compliance standards, and operational performance of the branch
- Directly manage platform staff, including career development, performance management and recognition
- Manage day-to-day sales efforts in the branch, including frequent, active GROWTH coaching of Relationship Bankers
- Deliver on sales volumes and revenue targets in branch as agreed with District Manager
- Service and sell to clients via escalations or complex sales referred by the relationship bankers, and participate in sales calls with Small business and commercial partners
- Develop and maintain profitable partnerships with other lines of business, such as Human Resources, Branch Business Managers, Assistant Branch Managers, Relationship Bankers, etc.
- Demonstrate company values – “Excellence” and “Do the Right Thing”, while supporting branch-based change management efforts
- In de novo markets, make additional efforts to generate branch traffic
- Prospect both businesses and consumers both in person and on the phone
- Possess ability to network effectively
- Ability to be active in the community
- Strong ability to build relationships, have sales conversations, and successfully grow a book of business
- Understand the needs of a New Branch and the fact you must build business
- Ability to create, drive, and own a business plan
- Keep staff motivated and engaged in growing the New Branch
- Attend additional training when on-boarding to better equip for success

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification or military experience
- 1 year of Banking or Sales experience

- 1 year of Management or Supervisory experience

Requires successful registration with, and issuance of a unique identification number from, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act).
