The individual in this role may also have supervisory responsibility for Commercial Card department employees, to include coaching, training and counseling.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/>- Responsible for identifying and achieving financial goals for product lines and understanding market pricing dynamics.<br/>- Measure product results understand product dynamics, and ensure highest product quality.<br/>- Identify and target potential customers and/or markets for products.<br/>- Influence sales force regarding strategies, markets and customers.<br/>- Develop, implement and execute marketing plans and strategies.<br/>- Recommend new products or enhancements as changes are warranted or justified.<br/>- Develop long-term business plans for assigned product lines.<br/>- Evaluate business plans based on strategic goals.<br/>- Develop long-term goals for related product lines.<br/>- Communicate strategic plans.<br/>- Understand customer business requirements.<br/>- Participate in industry conferences and seminars; keep abreast of changes, trends, etc. in the marketplace.<br/>- Conduct market research by investigating product enhancements by the competition by networking with peers at other institutions.<br/>- Anticipate product enhancements by competition.<br/>- Manage formal market research.<br/>- Provide assistance to operations and systems on production and client support issues.<br/>- Promote assigned products and services to obtain support for cross-selling efforts.<br/>- Promote/market products throughout the bank.<br/>- Develop and enhance professional rapport with all areas of the bank.<br/>- Supervises the activities of Product Managers and Assistants to include hiring, work assignments, appraisals and salary.<br/>- Recommends promotions, terminations and salary adjustments for subordinates.<br/>- Interviews job applicants and recommends them for hire.<br/>- Trains, counsels and disciplines subordinates on job performance.<br/>- Controls department workflow to accomplish assigned tasks.<br/>- Recruit and effectively plan for departmental staffing needs.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications</b><br/>Basic Qualifications:<br/><br/>- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Finance, or Management -- or Military experience<br/>- 7+ years of product management experience, or 8+ years of experience in bank operations<br/>- 3+ years of experience in Commercial Card Product Management<br/>- 7+ years of treasury/cash management industry related experience either within a Corporate Treasury or non-credit services product management<br/>- 3+ years of supervisory / management experience<br/>- Certified Treasury Professional designation<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications:<br/><br/>- 5-10 years in the Commercial Card business, either in a sales or product capacity<br/>- Pre-Paid and Payroll Card experience<br/>- Master&#8217;s in Business Administration<br/>- Strong Strategic Vision for high growth product within a large Card Organization<br/>- Able to manage a diverse infrastructure and environment with a fast paced push and drive for product features in the market<br/><br/>At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.<br/><br/>No agencies please.
