DescriptionCapital One’s Digital Customer Experience group is seeking an individual to lead a number of key initiatives in the Enterprise Servicing team. This individual will be responsible for defining digital solutions that meet the needs across multiple Capital One lines of business (Credit Card, Retail Banking, Direct Online Banking, etc.). Must possess exceptional ability to understand how to leverage technology to meet business needs, create an outstanding customer experience and generate a sustainable competitive advantage for the business. This individual will set bold objectives and goals for customer’s satisfaction, engagement and ease of use and will drive the team to achieve these goals. This position is for a leader who is not satisfied with the status quo and wants to make a difference.

Areas of Responsibilities

Product Development: Manage the entire digital Product Lifecycle from concept through launch. Develop new digital products and process enhancements. Develop business cases and gain approval from business leaders. Produce documents (business case, business requirements, functional requirements, etc.). Develop project plans and manage projects with aggressive time frames and assure that goals, budgets and deadlines are met.

Strategic Thinking: Develop strategic plans to meet existing and evolving business and product goals. Evangelize the digital products and gain buy-in from lines of business on the strategy. Translate lines of business goals into functional digital strategies and tactical digital product ideas. Consider the customer experience across multiple lines of business (enterprise view) in assessing the impact of new projects. Work closely with various business leaders to advise them on how to develop and sustain advantage in their space via the digital channels. Ensure that our products meet and exceeds the goals.

Initiative/Problem Solving: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Requires initiative, flexibility, innovation and team focus to drive success. Make sound judgments. Use problem solving skills that help identify, isolate and resolve problems and issues in a timely fashion to negate or minimize customer impact. Develop solutions to new and complex needs/issues.

Leadership/Accountability: Must possess strong leadership skills and serve as the primary contact for product initiatives. Must be able to influence and manage cross-functional projects. Requires close working relationship with other departments in the company as well as external contacts. Must possess skills to lead cross-functional teams with resources located remotely.

Research/Decision Making: Monitor competitors and industry trends, work with in-house analysts to develop metrics, interpret data, devise corresponding market strategies, and present recommendations to business leaders. Must be able to develop, support and prove/disprove hypotheses using quantitative and qualitative techniques. Must be proficient at clearly presenting research results and recommendations using various software applications.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 Years experience in People Management
- 5 Years experience in Product Management
- 5 Years experience working with online channels

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree is desirable
- 5+ years experience in banking, web product development, UI, UX or content management areas

- Experience with enterprise-wide search solutions

- Experience with enterprise-wide campaign management solutions
- Financial services experience or international experience is a plus
- Ideal candidate will be an accomplished people manager and very much a self-starter

- Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teams
- Experience in process improvement using six sigma / lean six sigma techniques
- Experience with various project management methodologies like agile, waterfall, etc.
- Ability to integrate business knowledge and analytical insight to develop sound options and “sell” recommendations
- Comfortable establishing relationships across levels within organizations, including executive interactions
- Experience in major technology project deployments
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, communication (written, verbal, and technical), presentation, negotiation, influence and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as lead cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in fast-paced, complex and ambiguous environments
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with remote resources and external vendors
- Experience managing the definition and execution of projects (conceptualization, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation)
- Experience developing and managing web sites/online applications
