Description
Level: Principal Associate
The will be for responsible for providing service management of the Credit Retail Services (CRS) platforms as well as leading the efforts to on-board these systems to Integrated Production Support (IPS). A successful IPS candidate must have or be capable of quickly gaining a technical understanding of architecture and environments within the CRS portfolio. This individual will own all aspects of the on-boarding process. IPS operates under the ITIL model, making sure that all the ITIL processes as practiced at Capital One are followed. Not only will this candidate participate in the integration of the systems to IPS support but also participate in the full integration of the Change, Incident, Problem, Capacity, Release and Configuration Management Processes.
Responsibilities:
Service Management
- Work with development teams as required to provide appropriate communication and reporting, during and after incidents. This will include:
- Participate in high severity incident calls
- Assess business impact of the incident
- Utilize business impact to assess severity
- Send Incident communication if necessary
- Provide Sr. Management with business impact assessment
- Participate in Problem Mgmt process if required
- Work with Capital One change management, development and data center teams to review and assess impact of changes within the supported environment.
- Work with the transition program to assist in the full integration of the ITIL processes for the CRS portfolio including Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
On-boarding Systems
As part of the standard on-boarding process, the associate will create an Inventory of applications and associated artifacts (i.e contingency plans, support documentation, disaster recovery documentation, etc.), identify gaps in this inventory and work toward closure of gaps.
Support
Once the systems are fully onboarded the associate will provide ongoing support of the applications within the CRS portfolio
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
- 5 Years of IT experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Proficient Web Logic and Java/J2EE, JSP skills
- Proficient UNIX and/or Windows Server skills
- Proficient Networking Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 1 year experience in ITIL processes
- 2 years of experience in Application development
- Basic HTML, XML skills
- Basic MQ Broker skills
- Basic Oracle, DB2 and SQL understanding
- Basic knowledge of Database Administration tools
- Basic knowledge of VB6
- Basic knowledge of Sybase
- Vendor Management Experience
- Customer Management Experience
